Linda Senden

Professor International and European Law
Linda Senden has been part of the academic world since her graduation at the University of Amsterdam, where she also started working as lecturer. In 1994 she started working at the University of Tilburg, where she was appointed Professor in EU law in 2004. She joined the Law Department and Europa Instituut of Utrecht University in 2011, where she holds the chair in EU law. She has been visiting professor at the several universities worldwide.

John Vervaele

Professor Economic and European Criminal Law
After working in Belgium for a number of years, John Vervaele left for the Dutch Institute for Social and Economic Law Research (NISER) at the University of Utrecht in 1987. In 1991 he was awarded the prestigious PIONIER subsidy. In 1992 he was appointed Professor/Director in Law Enforcement and European Integration. Since 1996 he is also Professor in Economic and Financial Criminal Law at the University of Utrecht. From 2003 on he is vice-dean and director of research of the Utrecht Law School.

Ton van den Brink

Associate Professor European Law
In 2004, Ton van den Brink received a PHD at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. From 2005 to 2009 he was researcher at the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR). Until 2007, he also worked as lecturer at the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. In 2008, Ton led a research project commissioned by the ministry of Justice about the implementation of EU legislation. Ton is currently employed as associate professor of European Law at the Europa Institute of Utrecht University. He is also responsible for the daily management of the Europa Institute.

Michiel Luchtman

Professor of transnational law enforcement and fundamental rights
Since his graduation, Michiel Luchtman has been employed at the University of Utrecht in several capacities. After starting at the G.J. Wiarda Instituut, he relocated to the Willem Pompe Institute for Criminal Law & Criminology in 2006, where he was appointed as Associate Professor in 2008. In 2016, he was appointed Professor of transnational law enforcement and fundamental rights. He is also deputy judge at the District Court of Amsterdam.
