On the 13th of May 2015, RENFORCE will host the festive kickoff of the project “The External Effects of EU Law”. For this occasion we have brought together an interesting roster of keynote speakers and several of our own researchers, who will provide their insights on EU external affairs issues and will present the new project. Find the final programme by clicking here and register soon, as available places are limited!

In the first session, keynote speeches by CLEER and RENFORCE researchers will carve out the broader concepts and discussions in the field of EU external relations law. Prof. dr. Ramses Wessel will provide a state of affairs in current EU external relations law, prof. dr. Cedric Ryngaert will provide a contribution on the global values of the EU and dr. Wybe Douma will consider the relationship between the EU and international law.

In the second session several of our researchers will present their own preliminary findings and research designs. Project coordinator dr. Ingrid Koning will analyze the usage of EU aviation law in US courts. Dr. Jan Willem van Rossem will provide a contribution on the autonomy of EU law in external affairs. Finally, Natalie Dobson will discuss EU climate change policies and their extraterritorial aspects.

The programme will also feature opportunities for you to join the debate on these current topics in EU external affairs and our new research projects. Drinks will be available after the meeting.
